completion: baked something

Something = Cornbread. Om nom nom.

I heard the guy in the next-door apartment groan when he walked past my door while I was taking it out of the oven. Because of the cornbread aromas wafting into his nostrils, of course.

More (baking) to come later this week. Just to torture my neighbor.

Recipe here (from my grandmother):

Corn Bread
1 cup yellow corn meal
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
4 tbsp vegetable oil

Sift dry ingredients together, add eggs, milk and oil. Beat until smooth about 1 minute. Bake in 8" square pan at 425º for 30 minutes.
